Try These Fun and Easy Halloween Party Games

If you’re like me, you’ve waited until the last moment to choose activities for your Halloween party. No worries! These games are kid-approved and easy to set up.

1. Four Corners

Four Corners is the easiest Halloween game on Earth. Try it, you’ll like it!

  • Tape or staple one picture in each corner of the room.
  • Cut out cards and shuffle them.
  • Direct kids to stand in the corner of their choice.
  • Draw a card and call out the name.
  • Participants at that corner remain playing; players at other corners are out (must sit down).

Play continues until only one child (the winner!) remains. Kids will beg to play again and again.

Printable posters and cards make this the easiest Halloween party game ever! First, hang one poster in each corner. Second, tell kids to choose a corner. Third, draw a card and call it out. Kids at that corner remain, and everyone else sits down. Play continues until only one child is left: the winner!

2. Swat

Swat is a fast-paced, rambunctious activity! Like the other Halloween party games, it’s easy to set up and play.

  • Print and cut the images apart.
  • Attach the images to a wall, chalkboard, or white board in random order.
  • Split the group into two teams.
  • Ask each team to form a line facing the images.
  • Give the first child in each line a fly swatter.
  • Use the prompts to call out an image.
  • The first player to swat the image gets a point for their team.*
  • Continue playing until all images are called.

*The swatter under the other wins. The adult is the judge, and no arguing is allowed.

Your kids will love Swat! They form two lines, with the first person in each line wielding a fly swatter. The leader calls out a term, and they rush to be the first to swat the picture.

3. Bingo

You can’t go wrong with this all-time favorite Halloween party game. Kids love playing Bingo – and it keeps them in their seats.

Playing is easy:

  • Print one set of the bingo cards and the smaller cards (color or grayscale).
  • Cut out smaller cards and shuffle them.
  • Give one bingo card and a set of 15-25 counters (e.g., candy corns) to each child.
  • Explain how to win (cover diagonal, vertical, or horizontal row; cover four corners). Establish if a winner can keep playing and win again.
  • Draw a smaller card and call out the name.
  • Players place a counter on that space.
  • Play continues until someone shouts, “Bingo!”

Prizes may vary. For the simplest prize, draw a smiley face or place a sticker on a winner’s paper.

Every classroom party game needs Bingo! This pictorial game comes with 40 cards.
